The partnership between Menzies Aviation and Flair Airlines expands the existing alliance between the two parties to include around nine of the 19 stations in the carrier’s domestic network.

Starting this month, Menzies will offer passenger and ramp services to the airline at Ottawa Airport (YOW), Halifax Stanfield Airport (YHZ) and Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson Airport (YWG) in Canada.

From July, the company will serve the airports of Charlottetown (YYG), Saint John (YSJ), and Victoria (YYJ) while from August it will provide services at Abbotsford International Airport (YXX).

As of now, Flair Airlines is receiving support and services from Menzies at two Canadian stations.

These include Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ) that Menzies has been serving since February and Saskatoon John G Diefenbaker Airport (YXE), where it is providing support since August last year.

Currently, the Menzies team is working to restart flights at Saskatoon John G Diefenbaker Airport this month.

With this agreement, Menzies will be functioning at nearly 21 airports in Canada.

Menzies Americas executive vice-president John Redmond said: “It is with great pride that we announce the expansion of our partnership with Flair Airlines across Canada. These new contracts demonstrate Flair’s trust in Menzies to support their growth ambitions and are testament to the excellent standards of service that have been provided on the ground by Menzies professionals at Toronto and Saskatoon.”

Flair Airlines airport operations director Kristal Jodoin added: “Flair is excited to grow our partnership with Menzies. Flair and Menzies’ shared commitment to safety and service align well as together we share the vision of connecting Canadians with affordable travel.”

Last month, Dubai-based carrier Emirates renewed and expanded its ground handling partnership contract in Northern Europe with Menzies.
